With his white wines of Veneto, Roberto Anselmi has forged a category of his own and established new markers for quality in Italian wines. Capitel Foscarino is grown on twenty-four acres of cru vineyards at the top of the Foscarino Hill, the best vine growing hill in the area. These vineyards are on south-facing slopes 1,140 feet above sea level. The soil is volcanic tuff with grass undergrowth and the vines are trained using the horizontal spurred cordon method.
