Overview:

The passion of the Goretti winery has been fundamental in a family history of wine making spanning generations, and it exists today as the family continues its participation in the Italian world of viticulture with pride, passion and exceptionally consistent quality. Tradition and experimentation go hand in hand to prove that quality wines are never the result of improvisation, but of a profound knowledge of the land, the climate and production processes. The Goretti winery was created and has been developed with an orientation towards modern and practical methods of cultivation and wine making along with the precious and knowledgeable practises of the family’s ancestors.

The Goretti winery has been handed down from father to son, a tradition that fully reflects the Umbrian practice of conducting and maintaining family businesses. The third and fourth generations of our family have an active collaboration with the shared aim of producing and selling wines of the highest quality.

Vineyard:

The Goretti vineyards are located in the heart of Italy’s Umbria region, just outside the city of Perugia. This hilly region is known for its rich, flavorful and full-bodied white, red and rosé wines. All while taking great pride in their family’s antique tradition of winemaking, today they also employ sophisticated modern techniques to produce their wines. You can find their vineyards located in an area classified as "D.O.C. Colli Perugini", as well as in an area classified as “Montefalco D.O.C.G.”, where the celebrated Sagrantino di Montefalco wines are produced.

Ownership:

Goretti winery has been handed down for generations, making it a family-owned and -operated producer of top quality, award-winning wines. Our expert winemakers are involved in every stage of the wine-making process, from grape selection to bottling, all leading to the culmination of a year’s hard work.
