Riazul was founded in the desert Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico on land that was handed down from generation to generation for more than 200 years. That is where Inaki Orozco, the founder of Riazul, hand planted the Blue Agave with the permission of his family elders.
Only after the Agave matured for years in one of the areas harshest micro climates did Inaki find out the unique terroir produced plants with a much higher than normal levels of fructose and were the perfect base for his award winning Tequilas.
The Orozco Ranch, in the Jalisco Highlands – 2,000 feet above sea level, has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 200 years. The land has a harsh micro climate unlike any other in the region which prodcuces Blue Agave with the strongest and highest fructose levels.
