In 1961, when winemaker Dr. Franco Ziliani and the Guido Berlucchi winery crafted the first classic-method wines in northern Italy’s Lake District, they set a new benchmark for high-quality Italian sparkling wine. Today, their sparkling whites and rosés are among the most prestigious produced in Europe.
100% Metodo Classico in style and made with 100% Franciacorta fruit, this wine spends 18 months fermenting before disgorgement. Straw-yellow in color with a crisp, rich aroma of apple, pear and tropical fruit, it offers a spicy body with a bright acidity and velvety texture leading to a lingering citrus finish.
100% Metodo Classico in style and made with 100% Franciacorta fruit, this wine ferments for 24 months before disgorgement. Intensely salmon pink in color, the aroma of wild berry and ripe fruit combines with subtle yeasty notes of fresh-baked bread. The body is refined and elegant with exceptional acidity.
The Berlucchi Saten is a unique blanc des blancs (100% Chardonnay) sparkler with a silky smooth mouthfeel. Elegant aromas of peach, apricot and tropical fruit are complemented on the palate by a tangy acidity and a full, firm structure. Excellent as an aperitif, it will also pair nicely with lighter risottos and delicate fish dishes.
The Franciacorta Nature is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Berlucchi's best estate vineyards. It is very pronounced and complex on the nose, with nuances of citrus, lychee and rye bread. The vibrant acidity gives the wine a strong backbone, providing good structure and balance in contrast to the concentrated fruit flavors.
