Durbanville Hills

Durbanville Hills Winery was established in the late 1990s and is located just outside the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Located only six miles from the Atlantic Ocean, the region has a temperate climate with cooling sea breezes that cover the area in afternoon mists, making for very favorable growing conditions. Renowned for its Sauvignon Blanc, Durbanville Hills is also admired for its elegant red wines. 

Durbanville Hills Winery is committed to sustainability, and practices responsible water management and biodiversity conservation. The winery has a state-of-the-art cellar with the latest technology, which allows the winemakers to create wines of greaty intensity and flavor that reflect their unique terroir.

Durbanville Hills Bastion 2015

Bastion means lookout point, and the Durbanville Hills Bastion red blend is named for the point at the winery overlooking Table Mountain. Dark ruby in color, this wine has pronounced aromas of strawberries and raspberries that continue through to the palate, along with a sweet wood spice and soft tannins.

The vineyards where these Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown enjoy ideal ripening conditions with warm days and cool nights. This wine has elegant aromas and flavors of ripe green fig, winter melon and tropical fruit with an intense minerality that makes it crisp and refreshing.
