An exquisite blend of light gold rums, Angostura 5 Year Old is aged in ex-Bourbon casks and distilled in multi-column continous stills. Carefully filtered through charcoal before blending, the finished rum is richly perfumed with light woody notes of coconut, caramel, lemon and vanilla.
Angostura 7 Year Old is a blend of light, medium and dark rums that have all been aging for a minimum of seven years. After blending, the rum is returned to casks to further marry its flavors, which gives it a mahogany hue and enticing bouquet of creamy vanilla, molasses, coffee and spice.
Of fine distinction and superb quality, this rum commemorates Angostura's founder, Dr. Johann Siegert, who created Angostura bitters in 1824. A rich bouquet of sweet molasses, cocoa and toffee gives way to notes of chocolate, orange and spice on the palate.
Ater a fire destroyed Trinidad's Government Rum Bond in 1932, hundreds of charred casks filled with rum were discovered amidst the debris. The rum inside had already been aging in barrel since 1919, and was skillfully blended and called "1919 Aged Rum." One of the most popular rums made by the House of Angostura, it's rich and complex with an exquisite bouquet of cocoa, vanilla and coconut.
Amaro di Angostura is created by combining Angostura's world-famous aromatic bitters with neutral spirit and spices to create an herbal liqueur. The result is intensely aromatic, with a bouquet of toasted caramel, cinnamon, licorice and toasted sugar. The palate is smooth and spicy with a pleasant bitterness and notes of sweet herbs.
