Flor de Campo, Spanish for “wildflower”, seeks to capture the best of cool climate viticulture from Santa Barbara County. Grapes for the 2016 Flor de Campo were selected from several outstanding cool climate vineyards in Santa Barbara County, including our estate vineyards, La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills This versatile Chardonnay is a nice complement to seafood and lighter dishes.

Grapes for the 2015 Flor de Campo were selected from several outstanding cool climate vineyards in Santa Barbara County including  La Rinconada and Sanford & Benedict  in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills. This minerality of the Sta. Rita Hills is nicely balanced by tropical. After gently whole cluster pressing, the wine was fermented in both tank and French Oak barrels. The result has aromas of tropical (banana & pineapple) and stone  fruits with notes of honeycomb. This new release has nice acidity to keep it lively on the palate.  This versatile Chardonnay is a nice complement to seafood and lighter dishes.

Grapes for the 2013 Flor de Campo were selected from two outstanding cool climate vineyards in Santa Barbara County. La Rinconada Vineyard, in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills produces a mineral driven Chardonnay that is blended with fruit from Santa Maria, which is more fruit forward in nature. The result has aromas of tropical and stone fruits with notes of honeycomb. This new release has nice acidity to keep it lively on the palate.  This versatile Chardonnay is a nice complement to seafood and lighter dishes.
