Pinot Noir has been grown in the famous Burgundy region of France, for hundreds of years. The Russian River Valley is uniquely suited to this challenging yet rewarding grape. The cool climate and evening fog allow for an extended growing season and the opportunity for Pinot Noir to reach its full flavor potential. This Terlato Family Vineyards 2012 Pinot Noir is truly Burgundian in style with an elusive aroma of violets, raspberries and strawberries and a light, nicely acidic balance. Pinot Noir is widely considered to produce some of the finest wines in the world.

Wine Notes
Color
The wine's color when young is often compared to that of garnet, frequently being much lighter than that of other red wines. This is entirely natural as Pinot Noir has a lower skin anthocyanin (coloring matter) content than most other red varietes.
Aroma
Red fruits (raspberries, strawberries, black cherries) with hints of violets and spice.
Taste
This excellent wine is rich and complex but also relatively light, the wine's acidity frames it nicely and will pair well with a number of dishes including pork, chicken, beef and game. Well-integrated tannins and a silky smooth finish.
