Château de Meursault, whose history goes back one thousand years, produces  the Meursault-Charmes from 6 parcels  totaling 11.6 Acres. This is the most important Cuvée in size of the Domaine, which is made up of two areas two areas or “lieux-dits”, called Charmes-Dessous or Charmes-Dessus, both on a very mineral slope. The marl limestone soils  enable the production of this  incredibly  charming, expressive and round wine.

Length/Type of Fermentation: 
After a manual harvest, a long and progressive pressing allows winemakers to select only the richest of the juices. The static racking, which lasts for 12 hours, helps to clarify the must which is directly put into the oak barrels for further alcoholic fermentation.
Length/Type of Aging: 
Aged in new oak barrels (about 35%) as well as in barrels of one or two years. After 12 – 15 months, the barrels are blended together just before the bottling.
