Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Les Vergers"
2012
2012

Located North of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet, and adjacent to the Chaumées vineyard, Vergers is comprised of 40 rows of vines that are rooted in a limestone based soil with numerous hematite iron rocks.

The wine exhibits forward aromas of white and yellow orchard fruit, supported by citrus notes which provide an excellent acidity and energy to the wine. Vibrant and mineral, the fruit can appear somewhat hindered, but elements of pear and peach enhance the complexity and balance. Vines were planted in 1944.
