Established in 1978, the Rose family estate vineyards are situated on the banks of the Wairau River (pronounced "why-raow"). Low crops and ripe fruit produce wine that has become renowned for exhibiting intense fruit characteristics and classical elegance. This wine is a blend of three estate vineyards, Home Block, Spring Creek and Winery Block. With careful vineyard management, the crops are kept low to intensify flavor and extract color. The aim with this wine is to be more fruit driven whilst retaining the inherent characteristics of Pinot Noir.
