Glen Garioch 1993 21 Year Old

Founded in 1797 near Old Meldrum, just to the north of Aberdeen, Glen Garioch (pronounced "geery") has a claim to being one of the oldest, licensed distilleries in Scotland. It has seen several changes of ownership in its lifetime, but perhaps the most memorable would be Stanely P. Morrison - of Morrison Bowmore - who introduced some very clever heat recovery techniques. In fact, the distillery became famous for producing some of the finest tomatoes in Scotland from its greenhouse (warmed by waste heat from the distillery).
