Red Blend
2008
2007

The historic L'Ormarins wine estate, established in 1694, is nestled beneath the jagged peaks of the Groot Drakenstein mountain, where the granite soils produce strong, expressive wines. It was out of this Estate that Johann Rupert created Anthonij Rupert Wines, a tribute to his late brother. The wines of Anthonij Rupert are a true representation of this larger than life individual: big, with bold flavors that will leave a lasting impression. The vineyards for this specific blend were chosen from our best sites. The L'Ormarins vineyards with the decomposed granite supplied the richness and fullness to the wine. The Rooderust vineyards which has more clay and a slightly warmer climate, supplied the intense fruit aromas. Together these terroirs produced a unique wine.
