Guardian Peak Wines, created by South African wine visionary Jean Engelbrecht, are a series of red wines affordable in both style and price. These wines are produced predominantly from estate owned vineyards in the Stellenbosch region, and the name is as unique as the wines! Guardian Peak is the highest peak in the Stellenbosch mountain range which overlooks the winery vineyards. These wines are meant to complement an active lifestyle and to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.

This wine shows a beautifully complex nose, with aromas of fresh plum, subtle blueberries and an underlying lead pencil note that comes to the fore.
Taste
The fresh red fruit and hints of ripe dark fruit flavors are backed up by the blueberries from the nose and a toasty, hazelnut character. This well integrated wine has a full mouthfeel, a rich juicy mid-palate and a fantastic, balanced finish.

Superb red fruit aromas of raspberry and plum are supported wtih hints of black cherry and cedar.
Taste
The ripe red fruit from the nose comes to the fore on the palate. There is a subtle fynbos undertone that backs up to the medium to full mouthfeel. This wine has a nice firm structure, with a lengthy red fruit finish.

Great complexity on the nose with floral notes of jasmine and violet. This is backed up by sandalwood and liquorice with hints of classic lead pencil.
Taste
Ripe, juicy red fruit are prominent on the palate with a lengthy, smooth finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz are in perfect harmony. Together with the Merlot, this creates a well rounded wonderfully balanced wine.
