Jo Terlato Giannoulias is the Illinois Regional Manager for the Premier Division of Terlato Wines. The daughter of Terlato Wines CEO Bill Terlato, she joined the company in July 2013 as the fourth generation to enter the family business. She is responsible for sales of Terlato Wines' Premier Division portfolio in the company’s home market and manages a team of District Managers.
Terlato joined the company from Southern Wine & Spirits Illinois, where she progressed from sales representative roles in suburban and city routes to On-Premise District Manager. She established a track record of success and accomplishment with double-digit sales increases and won the ‘Best of the Best’ Award three times as a Sales Representative and a Manager in successive years. She managed a team of six on-premise wine sales reps in Chicago, encompassing more than 500 top restaurant accounts. In 2010, Terlato received her Certified Specialist of Wine certification, and also holds a Certified Sake Specialist certification.
During her internships at Rutherford Hill and Chimney Rock wineries in California and the M. Chapoutier winery in France, Terlato studied the retail and production sides of the wine industry. Prior to joining Southern Wine & Spirits Illinois, Terlato taught fourth grade at Gary Lighthouse Charter School in Gary, Indiana as part of Teach for America. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
