Il Poggione

In 1890, the Franceschi family purchased the Il Poggione estate in Sant' Angelo in Colle in the province of Siena.
Today, the winery is owned by the fifth generation of the Franceschi family, and the father-son winemaking team of Fabrizio and Alessandro Bindocci are making award-winning Brunello di Montalcino. A cool maritime breeze from the southwest ensures excellent ventilation and cool evenings and nights. Here, Sangiovese Grosso grapes reach maximum ripeness for fuller, richer wines than anywhere else in Tuscany.
