Greenhook Ginsmiths was founded in 2012 in Brooklyn, New York, by gin enthusiasts Steven and Philip DeAngelo. Over the last five years, Greenhook has quickly become one of America's premier artisan gin producers, crafting their spirits in a custom-made, copper pot still designed to work under a high pressure vacuum. The high pressure allows for distillation to occur at a lower temperature, which brings out the key flavors of the carefully selected botanicals and results in a highly aromatic and vibrant gin. Greenhook Ginsmiths prides itself on putting a distinct modern twist on the traditional style of gin.
This is a contemporary style of gin with bold flavors. It's made from organic botanicals including grown wheat spirit, Tuscan juniper, coriander, chamomile, elderflower, citrus, Thai blue ginger, Ceylon cinnamon, orris root and elderberry.
This spirit is inspired by the original English Sloe Gin, typically made with a small, purple fruit related to the plum. The Greenhook Ginsmiths Beach Plum Gin Liqueur is a contemporary take on sloe gin, crafted by infusing their signature American Dry Gin with Long Island Beach Plums for 7 months, with just a touch of Turbinado sugar for a sweet finish.
This classic Old Tom Gin begins with a base grain spirit, which is then distilled with juniper and exotic spices inspired by the 19th century British spice trade. It is aged for 12-24 months in ex-Bourbon casks, followed by three months in Oloroso Sherry casks. Unlike traditional Old Tom Gins, Greenhook Ginsmiths adds very little sugar to this expression, resulting in a full-bodied, complex palate and a dry finish.
